• Fully guided by a qualified & experienced guide, learn more about Cathy • Kit list & precise What3words location for parking and meeting provided on booking • Meet and greet in car park • Safety briefings and support throughout • Circular guided walk over beautiful Dartmoor • Swim or dip in Crazywell Pool to suit you • Enjoy your lunch and hot drink in stunning surroundings (bring your own) • Explore and learn about the history of this fascinating part of Dartmoor • Plenty of opportunity to take photos of your beautiful surrounding • Approximate walk distance – 9km • Approximate total time – 4-5 hours Crazywell pool is steeped in Dartmoor myth and legend, despite being one of the largest on the moor, it is hidden from view until you are almost in it. This circular walk will take you to the pool via the beautiful Devonport Leat, an impressive aqueduct and if you are feeling brave the elusive Cramber Tor which on a good day has views to Plymouth Sound and across Burrator Reservoir. Once at Crazywell Pool there will be the opportunity for a dip or swim, depending on what you fancy. The pool itself is 100 meters long so lengths are even a possibility. Once dressed and warmed up we will begin the journey back through the woods and via the stunning Leather Tor Bridge. Terrain - mixture of open moorland which can be uneven with rocks, grassy tussocks and depending on the time year wet or boggy ground and paths which can at times be uneven. Who am I? Everything I offer is run by me, Cathy. I am a Wild Swimmer and someone who loves being outdoors. I have been lucky enough to have worked professionally in the outdoors for my whole career so I have lots of experience and plenty of qualifications. Please note all walks are in remote areas so please expect some uneven ground, see each walk for more detail and if you'd like to have a chat to discuss before booking please do get in touch. You will be sent a kit list in your confirmation email, it is important you bring all the items on it. For more details see the FAQ page of the website. Payment and cancellations 1. Full payment must be made to confirm your place. 2. Cancellations can be made up to 10 day before the event, a small cancellation charge will apply to cover fees. 3. Cancellations made 10 days or less before the planned start date will not be eligible for a refund except in exceptional circumstances. Terms and conditions 1. All relevant medical conditions, allergies and details of medication taken must be disclosed at time of booking. 2. It is the responsibility of participants to ensure any medication required is carried at all times during the activity. 3. It is the responsibility of participants to inform the instructor of any changes to medication conditions, allergies or medication taken between the time of booking and the day of the activity. This must be done before the activity commences. 4. All participants must be free from the influence of drugs/alcohol at the time of commencing the activity and for the duration of the activity. Anyone suspected of being under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol at any time immediately before or during the activity will not be able to take part in the activity and will be responsible for their own safety from that point forward.
