• Fully guided by a qualified & experienced guide • Kit list & precise What3words location for parking and meeting provided on booking • Meet and greet in car park • Safety briefings and support throughout • Guided walk across Dartmoor and into the stunning valley of Tavy Cleave • Swim or dip in the best (my opinion) pool in this stunning valley • Enjoy your lunch and hot drink in stunning surroundings (bring your own) • Plenty of opportunity to take photos of your beautiful surrounding • Approximate walk distance – 6km • Approximate total time – 4-5 hours Tavy Cleave, located high on the River Tavy, has some glorious swim spots located within this rugged and stunning valley. The walk is slightly more adventurous than some and well worth the effort. With beautiful views at each turn, you really feel you are getting into the wilderness of Dartmoor. The pool we will swim at is deep with a stunning waterfall at the top which you can swim towards, or make your way along the rock platform at the side, and then allow the river to push you back down into the main pool. The steep valley, with Tor's looming above give this swim a real atmospheric feel, one not to be missed. As with all walks dip or swim to suit you. Terrain - This walk initially follows a narrow path alongside a beautiful leat after which the terrain becomes boggy and challenging in places. Having a guide means you will be taken on the best route the terrain has to offer, a reasonable level of fitness is required and a sense of adventure. It's well worth it. Who am I? Everything I offer is run by me, Cathy. I am a Wild Swimmer and someone who loves being outdoors. I have been lucky enough to have worked professionally in the outdoors for my whole career so I have lots of experience and plenty of qualifications.
